—Candy's International EVA SEAT

The idea of EVA came to us in 2020. Our goal was to create a recognizable and sensual shape to be applied, at first, on a multifunctional table lamp with POP colors and a researched design. After that, we decided to expand the collection, giving EVA a 3D life. The design has been optimized to create a 3D seat with an irreverent character. The EVA seat was designed starting from a concept that respects the environment, preferring the use of an eco-sustainable, biodegradable, and customized raw material: PLA (Polylactic Acid), a biopolymer obtained from renewable raw materials of vegetable origin. By its nature, PLA respects the principles of the circular economy, as it is 100% biodegradable and compostable. This allows us to give back to our ecosystem what has been borrowed for the realization of the project. The goal is to find the right combination of aesthetic performance, stability, lightness of the object and printing speed, in order to get a balance between economy and design.
