Flover Silvano Girelli

Born in 1963 and raised in Bussolengo (VR), there in 1980, together with his brothers
Gianpaolo and Sergio, he founded Flover, FLOricoltura VERonese originally specialized in the
production of annual and seasonal plants that afterwards evolved into one of the first real
Garden Centers in Italy.
An intense travel activity began immediately, which allowed the center to be characterized
with a more European style.

1996 is a special year. The first Christmas Village in Italy is created, a space where you can find
everything for Christmas, still visited today by thousands of thousands of fans.
In 1998 he founded the Garden Team, a purchasing group for the sector that includes some of
the most important garden centers in Italy.
The Flover group currently consists of 5 stores divided into 2 regions, a logistics center, a plant
production company and a landascaping department. It employs approximately 280 people.
In 2011 he organized the International Congress of Garden Centers in Italy in South Tyrol and
Garda Lake.

Always attentive to the needs of the horticultural sector and intent on asserting their rights, in
2012, he is one of the founders of AICG (Italian Association of Gardening Centers) born with
the aim of protecting, qualifying, promoting and developing the culture of greenery, with a
particular attention to Made in Italy excellence within the Gardening Centers and presides
over it until 2019. Today he is one of the councilors and representative of the Italian
association within the international association IGCA.
